The Story Behind The Book
The idea of creating a coloring book for little children was born two years ago when we were looking for a third coloring book for our then 2 year old daughter. We were not thrilled about the first two coloring books we've purchased. They felt computer generated and were missing the human touch. The motives were repetitive and thoughtless.Our daughter had had developed quite a passion for coloring and as parents we knew we wanted to give her something that was created with love and care. We wanted illustrations that feel like someone just drew them and handed them to her to color. Many hours online later we were frustrated. There are many beautiful story books for little children out there, but when it comes to coloring books it seemed impossible to find what we were after. So we put our search on hold and Gianni started making drawings for our daughter to color. Making our own coloring book had to wait though, since shortly after our second baby came along. No time to spare for creating a coloring book with a newborn and a toddler.Now our baby son is almost two and his big sister almost four and a half and we still don't have much free time (If your a parent you know what we're talking about). But our motivation to make a coloring book for little children has grown a lot, especially now with AI becoming more and more present in our world.We want our kids to grow up in an environment that is in touch with handcrafted traditions and the value of artisanal skills. And we're sure that we're not the only parents thinking this way. That's why we're now working hard on this coloring book for our kiddies and all the other tiny artists out there. Whenever possible, but mostly at night time after bringing our little ones to bed. So bare with us...my little farm coloring book is coming :)

We believe that coloring is a collaboration between the artist who draws and the child (or grown-up) who is colors it.Our goal is that each coloring page inspires all the little artists out there to go all out and really get creative with the coloring.Combination of natural imperfection, hand drawn, but also simple and child friendly

The coloring book will be printed on high quality 180g marker paper with a light grain and one sided only to minimize bleed through.
The Kickstarter Campaign
We are currently working on the designs (50% done) and inking. When most of the designs are ready we will launch a Kickstarter to fund the first batch of printing.Until then we will share exclusive updates in our newsletter. We also have some fun ideas for you guys to influence the remaining designs ;)
Who are we?
We are Gianni and Kittiya, a couple from Switzerland with two little children (19 months and 4 years).Gianni is drawing ever since he started copying his favorite Dragonball pages at age 6. He is a professional 3d animator / 3d artist, but takes every chance to get pen on paper, be it through storyboarding, character design or simply sketching people in a train.He is drawing the designs and inking them.Kittiya was born with a desire to make art in every form. Her biggest passion is photography. She also loves watercolor, pottery, sketching, knitting, fingerpainting with our children and a lot more.With her keen eye for detail and design, Kittiya provides valuable ideas and feedback to take our designs and the book as whole to the next level.
